How attribution works
An AlgoLink sends the shopper to the AlgoRift buyer page, then to Amazon with attribution tags. Only tagged traffic counts toward that partnership. Amazon’s window and reporting lag apply after the click. CPC campaigns pay on valid clicks from the campaign link, which is a separate budget from sale commission on the same ASIN.
The AlgoRift attribution click path
AlgoRift attribution starts when a shopper opens your AlgoLink. The buyer storefront on app.algorift.io records the visit, then sends them to Amazon with tags that tie the session to your partnership.
- Copy AlgoLink only from a partnered, active product.
- Share the full URL including any ?src= token you added.
- Shoppers do not need an AlgoRift login on the buyer page.
Sale commission versus CPC
Sale commission uses the seller-set percent on attributed orders. CPC uses the seller’s click budget and campaign link — separate Reports rows.
- For GMV, promote with AlgoLink from Partnerships.
- For click pay, join CPC and use the campaign URL the panel shows.
- Do not assume one click pays both unless the live campaign says so.
Tracking sources with src tags
Add ?src=ig-bio or similar so Reports and Tracking split channels without making new partnerships.
- Mint or append src on the product link screen.
- Use one src per placement you care about in analytics.
- Share that exact URL in the post.
What never attributes
Bare amazon.com links, inactive or revoked AlgoLinks, traffic while paused, and edits that strip query parameters.
- Open Partnerships and confirm Active.
- Open link management and confirm Active.
- Re-copy the link after any seller commission or status change.
Questions
Is AlgoRift attribution the same as Amazon Associates?
No. See /affiliate/associates-policy/ if you use both.
How long until Reports show a sale?
Amazon reconciliation lags. Widen the date filter before you panic.
Does the buyer need Prime?
Commission rules follow the seller program and Amazon attribution outcome, not Prime alone.
Can I attribute Instagram in-app browser clicks?
Yes if the shopper completes the AlgoLink path without stripping tags.
