Ask for higher commission
Discovery shows the published commission. To ask for more, open Messages after you have a relationship or pending request, explain your channel and planned content, and propose a fair rate. The seller changes commission in their catalog if they agree. Do not promote assuming a verbal yes until the product page shows the new percent.
Read the published rate first
The product card commission is the AlgoRift commission negotiation baseline. Chat promises do not override the catalog.
- Open Discovery or the partnered product.
- Screenshot the listed percent for your records.
- Promote only after the card updates if the seller agrees to more.
Make a credible ask in Messages
Sellers approve higher rates when you show fit, planned content, and past Reports — not threats.
- Open Messages from Partnerships.
- State channel, format, and posting date.
- Attach Reports or off-platform metrics you can verify.
- Propose one rate, not a menu of demands.
After the seller says yes
Wait for My Products commission to update on the seller side before you announce a new rate publicly.
- Refresh the product page in Discovery.
- Re-copy AlgoLink if the panel regenerated links on commission change.
When negotiation fails
Decline gracefully and promote other brands. Spam hurts future approvals.
- Do not leave revoked links in bio.
- Request brands with better default commission instead.
Questions
Can affiliates set commission?
No. Only the seller publishes commission on each ASIN or brand scope.
Does CPC replace higher commission?
CPC is optional click pay; it does not automatically raise sale commission.
Can I negotiate before approve?
You can message after a request exists; rude pre-approve spam hurts approval.
Brand-wide versus SKU rate?
Ask the seller which scope they changed in My Products.
